Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I was actually working in a kitchen when one of the chefs recommended that I join Upshift after having worked with some Upshifters. They had been using Upshift for awhile and had a great experience. He mentioned how happy the Upshifters were that he had worked with and thought I should join. I signed up for Upshift in September, 2021 and never looked back.
What do you do outside of work?
My favorite thing to do during the Summer months is visit different amusement parks. I was actually just Kings Island and earlier in the summer we spent a weekend at Cedar Point. We also love traveling to the parks in Florida such as Busch Gardens, Universal Studios and Disney. I love riding as many roller-coasters as I can. The higher and faster the rides are, the more I like them.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
You want to make the best impression possible when you are at your shifts. You should be someone who other people want to work with again based on your work ethic, attitude and performance. This will have a positive effect on the other staff members, Upshifters and onsite managers which will allow you to get more opportunities in the future.
Would you recommend Upshift to your friends and family?
I’ve worked at a lot of different locations around Columbus and have had very positive experiences at all of them. However, I would have to say that my favorite place to work is Cameron Mitchell Premier Events. The chefs there are really great and I’m always learning something new from them. There is always something you can learn in a kitchen and they give me the opportunity to do that.
