Upshift is 100% free for people to use. We never take any fees out of your pay for connecting you with shifts.

Upshift charges businesses a fee after the successful completion of a shift. This success fee covers worker’s compensation insurance, unemployment insurance and employer taxes for every Upshifter.

Upshift allows people to choose where and when they want to work. Whether you want to pick up an extra shift just for this Friday or for every Monday Upshift makes picking up shifts as easy as pressing a button. Upshift offers you the flexibilty to pick up an extra shift or find your next job.

Upshifters get paid weekly. Our pay period runs from Monday through Sunday with pay going out the following Friday!

As an Upshifter you may also be able to qualify for same day pay through our partnership with Earnin. After you have received two direct deposits through Upshift you will be able to apply for same day pay through Earnin!

If a client has offered you full/part time work outside of the platform then you’ve done a great job! Just let us know if you are hired and Upshift will give you a $100 bonus.

Upshift transitioned payroll systems in January of 2018. For any shifts worked before 1/1/18 you will need to contact your Community Manager for paystubs or a W-2.

For any shifts worked after 1/1/8 you will need to register with our payroll provider-Paylocity. PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to register until the Friday of your first payday. Please follow the instructions below to do so.

1. Access Web Pay at https://login.paylocity.com.

2. Hit the register button

3. Enter your Paylocity-assigned Company ID. (42090)

4. Enter the required information and create a username and password (case-sensitive and 7-20 characters).

5. Click Login to enter Web Pay.

With Upshift, there are no minimums. You can work as little as you want to and up to 40 hours per week without client approval and over 40 hours if a client approves.

All Upshifters are W2 employees of Upshift. This means that we pay the employer portion of FICA taxes for you and that you have access to traditional employee benefits even while working flexibly.
