Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a graduate student in the Theatre Department at OSU, and I joined Upshift when the school year ended. It’s been a lifesaver for finding short-term work between semesters.
How has it been working on Upshift?
Working on Upshift has been great! It’s flexible enough to fit into my schedule between school and my other job to earn some extra income. I’ve gotten to meet a lot of great people and work in a variety of different settings. I’m always learning new skills, and the jobs are constantly changing.
What do you like most about Upshift?
I’ve gotten to work some really cool events. In the span of a month I worked a concert banquet that featured a (very convincing) Michael Jackson impersonator, watched planes do spins and flips while replenishing a buffet at the Dayton Air Show, and served hundreds of dancers between their fox trots and waltzes at the annual Jammin’ in July ballroom dance convention.
