Upshifter of the Week: Laura D!
We are proud to announce that our Upshifter of the Week is Laura D. from Nashville. Laura has worked a number of shifts at Sodexo at Lipscomb University all while holding onto her 5-star rating!
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a mom to a boy of 11 years old. I spend a lot of time with him in his extracurricular activities. Being a full-time mom is really what I was born to do, but it will be nice once he is older and can drive himself so I can focus on some of my own passions.
How has it been working on Upshift?
It’s been wonderful, and it’s nice that I know where pretty much all of the locations are around Nashville. I’ve gotten a lot of experience working in the dining hall and cafeteria at Sodexo at Lipscomb University. I’ve found that all of the students and other Upshifters have been very nice and respectful while on shift.
What do you like most about Upshift?
I’ve enjoyed working with Upshift way more than staffing agencies. We’re getting paid more and the app is so easy to use. I also love the flexibility given the fact my son has so many activities going on. It’s nice knowing my shifts won’t interfere with his plans. I’ve currently been working at Sodexo and it’s been a very pleasant experience. All of the managers are incredibly nice and helpful while on shift.
