Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am actually from New Orleans, Louisiana but moved to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. I am a hard worker, as well as a single mother. My daughter is 17 and she is going to college soon..
What has been your experience with Upshift?
I think I have been with Upshift for almost three years now. I believe I started in October 2019. My favorite thing about Upshift is that you can just clock in and out on your phone and be in control of yourself. No one is really hounding you to do the job. I also love the environment. My favorite place to work is at the aquarium and the atmosphere is really nice. I’ve worked at the Zoo as well and been a banquet server. It is for sure a really fun place to work.
I would definitely recommend Upshift to my friends and actually already have recommended it to a lot of my friends.
What do you do outside of Upshift?
Outside of Upshift, I have a call center job for At&T and I am able to work from home. Outside of work I play the piano. I also love to read books about Romance and Astrology. These books really delve into how the Stars and Planets may influence our behavior and emotions. I also really enjoy meditation and the idea of aligning my chakras.
Would you recommend Upshift to your friends?
I would definitely recommend Upshift to my friends and actually already have recommended it to a lot of my friends. I know about 5 of my friends who have been working at the BBVA here in Houston. I love Upshift and I always recommend it.
What advice would you give to incoming Upshifters?
The main advice I would give is that if you have committed to a job, make sure you can actually show up. You also need to know that you are working with the best team. You really will have so much fun while you also make money. This is the main thing I love about Upshift. It’s not just a job to me; it’s a fun way to get paid!
