Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I heard about Upshift from a friend who had signed up. I was looking for something where I could work flexibly without a set schedule every week. Upshift allows me to work around my schedule at variety of different businesses.
What do you do outside of work?
I love to spend time with family and travel. I have 5 grandkids and I spend a lot of my free time with them. I also like to travel and recently went to the Bahamas. It was an awesome place and I’d recommend it to everyone.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
The main piece of advice I have is to try out different shifts until you find the ones you like. I focused on positions where I had prior experience as I knew I would be able to complete them successfully.
Would you recommend Upshift to your friends and family?
I’ve really enjoyed my time on Upshift working a variety of different hospitality shifts. I’ve worked several different positions from cashier to dishwasher to line cook. My favorite place to work has been at the University of North Carolina as a cook. I really enjoy working with the team there.
