It's not worth us to hire ten people for one week's shift out of a month. So if we can supplement with Upshift and get the people in here and still get through the volume without spending a lot of overtime, then that works really well for us.

The biggest value is the fact that it's kind of like on demand. If we get in a crunch, we know that we've got Upshift there to help fill us in that crunch.

Most people that say they're going to show up, show up. And that's a big thing for us.

The best part about Upshift is it allows us time to try out folks. The regular interviewing process, you're taking people on their word and everyone puts their best foot forward — but you really don't know until you see them in the environment.

I was worried that the workers would just come in and work one assignment or one day and then not show back up. But that's not at all what's happened. We have people that are enjoying working here with us and they are staying with us. So I'm pleasantly surprised I was wrong.

Upshift gives us that flexibility of, oh, we can post today and we'll get applicants within eight, ten hours usually that we can fill.

The supervisors love it when we get what we like to call regulars, and I'll favorite them. Because they liked us, they would grab our shifts quickly.

I think that's the biggest difference, is the communication we get from you guys.

It has that review, and it shows how many hours they've worked and how many stars they've received, so we can tell that they're good workers. And they have turned out to be really good.

Upshift gives us the flexibility to increase our numbers only during a certain time and not worry about having to onboard them and then turn around and fire them.

That enables us to identify people who are familiar with our process, familiar with our culture and our standards, have those folks join us and get them up to speed very quickly when we need them.

They can come in, go right to work. We don't really have to worry about them.

If we have a really busy weekend, I can post a job for 4 more people the same day and see who applies. It's very instantaneous!

I remember reaching out to Zach. He helped me. I know you're available with our questions or any issues that we have. You all have been very responsive, so the customer service is definitely top notch.

We feel like we will always have five to ten Upshifters in the building permanently.

We've used Upshift for probably the past two years pretty consistently, so it's definitely made a difference for us. And we don't really have a reason to look anywhere else at this point.

It takes a lot of manpower doing so many different things. We have logistics, we have transportation, we have warehouse … we have our own full-time staff, but we rely really heavily upon outside help in order to make it all work and come together.

Ciera came on board, and within two weeks we knew that this was someone that had our values, worked hard and was going to be accountable. So we pulled the trigger and hired her immediately.

We knew the need wasn't going away in terms of the families we were serving, but our volunteer base simply hadn't come back in the way that it was going to need to. And so that's where Upshift came in.
