Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I onboarded in 2018 after hearing about it from one of my coworkers. Like many of my friends, I was looking for something flexible to make extra money in my free time. I actually didn’t pick up my first shift until 2019 but have been picking up shifts ever since.
What do you do outside of work?
I have a full time job so that keeps me pretty busy when I’m not picking up shifts on Upshift. In my free time, I try to spend as much time as possible with my family. My kids are grown up but we still spend a lot of time with them.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
I’ve always made sure to read through the shift details thoroughly prior to selecting which shifts that I want to work. This ensures that you understand the requirements and can prepare accordingly.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
Since joining the platform, I’ve worked as dishwasher, housekeeper and banquet server. It’s hard to choose a favorite place as I’ve really enjoyed all of my shifts. Some of my favorite shifts recently have been at the Savannah Center, Courtyard Marriott Hamilton and DelightMore. All of these locations provide both a professional and fun work environment.
