Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I heard about Upshift a couple of years ago. I ran into a close friend of mine while they were working a shift. They pulled up the app and showed me how it worked. I was actually looking for a job to make extra money so it was great timing.
What do you do outside of work?
I love spending time with friends and family when I’m not working. I recently went on a family trip where we took a cruise to Jamaica. This was my second cruise and I really enjoyed it. Jamaica is beautiful so I’d recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been there.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
The biggest piece of advice I would give is to treat each shift as seriously as you would if this was your full time job. You may only be completing a one day shift but you need to be ready to put forth your best effort every day.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
I’ve been lucky to work at a variety of hospitality locations throughout the Cleveland area. I had prior experience with banquet serving so I’ve really enjoyed being able to pick up shifts at St. Clair Ballroom. Some of my favorite shifts have been working during Cavs games as a Concession Stand Attendant at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
