Tell us what got you into Upshift?
Our family had just moved to Columbus and I was looking for a job which would allow me to balance work and spending time with my family. I heard about Upshift online and decided to give it a shot. I onboarded in the Spring of 2023 and have really enjoyed my time working on the platform.
What do you do outside of work?
I try to spend as much time as possible with my family. I also have a passion for cooking so I’m always trying different techniques and recipes at home. My favorite thing to do is to learn how to cook dishes from new cuisines.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
The main thing is to find shifts that you enjoy. I have a passion for cooking so I was drawn to cook positions. Working shifts that I enjoy has helped me be successful.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
When I first joined Upshift, I worked a variety of different light industrial and hospitality positions. This was everything from Housekeeper, Food Service Associate and Warehouse Associate positions. After working a few different types of shifts, I began working as a cook at Denison University and Ohio State University. I have a passion for cooking and I’ve learned so much from the chefs at these venues.
