Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I heard about Upshift from a friend at the beginning of 2023. I was working as truck driver and it was a slow time of the year. I was looking for something that I could do flexibly during the down time at my full time job. Upshift was exactly what I was looking for.
What do you do outside of work?
Even though I do work in kitchens, my favorite thing to do outside of work is to cook at home. It’s a huge passion of mine so you can usually find me cooking for different events with family and friends.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
Although I had some experience in hospitality, I never picked up shifts on an app so this was new to me. You need to go in with an open mind and be willing to try new things. There are so many great opportunities out there for you.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
I had hospitality experience before joining Upshift so many of these positions fit my skillset. I have worked a variety of positions from dishwasher, line cook and grill cook. I have so many favorite places that I’ve worked at since joining Upshift. One of my favorites is OCLC Conference Center because it’s just a great group of people.
