Upshifter of the Week: Radames O.
Upshift was recommended to me by a friend who was already working on the platform. At that time, I was working with an agency but was drawn to Upshift because of the flexibility it offered. The opportunity to only pick up shifts when I choose to is really great because it allows me to dedicate time to focus on other projects outside of work.
Outside of Upshift, I’m a singer and songwriter currently working on a recording project. I’ve been working on this project for a few years. The music that I make is between classic rock and alternative rock. The reason why Upshift is such a good option for me is because there are weeks when I want to work 40 hours and other weeks when I need to work less. Being able to shift your hours up and down as needed is the perfect flexibility for musicians like myself.
I’ve enjoyed working a variety of shifts on Upshift. I’ve worked at quite a few light industrial businesses over the years, but prefer hospitality positions. I especially like working bartending shifts around town. Columbus Museum of Art and Milo’s Catering are two of my favorite places to work. To be honest, I’ve really enjoyed all the shifts I’ve worked and recommend Upshift to everyone I know.
