Why did you start working for Upshift?
I signed up about 5 years ago after seeing it online. I didn’t know much about it but was looking for something part time to supplement my other job. I knew I didn’t want a part time job with a set schedule, so Upshift’s flexibility was exactly what I was looking for.
What do you do outside of Upshift?
When I’m not working, I love to RV and take road trips. I have 3 dogs so it limits where I can go because I don’t wanna leave them with anyone. I always take them on trips with me. One of my favorite places to go is Gatlinburg. It’s such a place and I’d recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
The app shows you the information you need for your shifts so make sure you’re showing up on time and prepared to fulfill the position you signed up for. Being prepared for your shift and having the right mindset has really helped me. You always want to make a good impression so you can pick up more shifts at that location.
What have been your favorite shifts so far?

All of these places have managers and staff that are friendly which really makes you want to go back for another shift there.
