Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I was looking online at different gig economy options when I found Upshift. At the time, I was look for something that I could do alongside my full time job to make extra money. Upshift offered the flexibility that I was looking for so I submitted my application and onboarded a few days later.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, you can usually find me doing some kind of adventure sport. Whether that’s bungee jumping, sky diving, mountain biking or water sports. My friends and I recently took a road trip to Florida to spend a few days out on the water doing different activities like kayaking and water skiing.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
My main advice would be to keep an open mind and be willing to learn. I had some experience with different positions being posted but I’ve also learned a lot since joining. This has allowed me to expand the kinds of shifts I can work on the platform.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
I really enjoy being able to work at a variety of different locations. I’ve mostly worked banquet sever shifts since joining the platform. I really think it’s hard to choose my favorite places to work as they’ve all been great. Some of my favorite places to work have been at Elegant Fare Catering and DelightMore Catering. They are extremely professional and set their teams up for success.
