Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I stumbled upon Upshift in September, 2022 while I was on social media. I hadn’t heard of anything like Upshift but the idea of making my own schedule intrigued me. I submitted my application, onboarded and picked up my first shift within a couple of weeks.
What do you do outside of work?
My favorite thing to do in my free time is travel. I’ve been on a few trips recently including one to Toronto. I really enjoy visiting Toronto. It’s a big city with a ton of cuisines from around the world. I love exploring the food culture in all the places that I visit.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
I always try to arrive early for every shift and with a positive attitude. Make sure to treat the other Upshifters, staff and clients with the respect that you want to be treated with.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
I’ve really enjoyed the flexibility of picking from a variety of positions and locations that fit with my schedule. My favorite shifts have been as a Catering Attendant at the Cleveland Museum of Art and Cook at John Carroll University. The staff at both locations are organized and professional which is what keeps me going back.
