What do you love most about Upshift?
I just love that I get to pick and choose when and where I am going to work. The flexibility is so helpful. If I don’t want to work one day then I don’t have to. I get to make money on my own time and as long as I follow the rules then I will be able to continue to work. I am in control of my own schedule!
Why did you sign up for Upshift?
Before I got into Upshift, I was looking for work because it was hard to get a job. I was laid off from my previous job because of COVID. I was out of work for about a year, looking for other work, and just couldn’t find anything. I started to search for gig jobs to find something with a flexible schedule. I didn’t see a lot that worked for me until I found Upshift. I signed up and started working in July of this year and haven’t stopped since.
Where have you enjoyed working so far?
So far I have been working at LoanDepot Park as a cashier and at the University of Miami with Chartwells food service. I enjoy working at loanDepot because I can help the customers and also watch the game. I really connect with the customers because we’re all excited to watch our team play. You can really feel the atmosphere and the excitement of the fans when you’re there!
I get to make money on my own time and as long as I follow the rules then I will be able to continue to work. I am in control of my own schedule!
Would you recommend Upshift?
Since I have been working at LoanDepot, a lot of people found out about Upshift through me and other Upshifters. A lot of people that were using other companies for gigs or temporary work found that Upshift had more opportunities and the pay was better. So I one hundred percent recommend Upshift and have done so already!
What advice would you give Upshifters?
The biggest piece of advice I would give is to come to the orientation and pay very close attention. You don’t want to just hop into the app without knowing how things work including all the policies and procedures. Once you complete your onboarding, you can start applying for shifts. It really is an easy process.
