How we measured

  • Pay from completed shifts, not job ads

Every number is the hourly wage on a shift that an Upshift worker completed. We do not use job ads or surveys.

  • Q2 and Q3 use the same method

Q2 is April to June 2026. Q3 is July to September 2026. Each number is the average across all shifts in that quarter.

  • What counts as a city

A city includes every business within 45 miles of the city center. The Ohio report covers every Ohio business.

  • When we show a number, and when we mark it *

We show a role or industry only if we had enough shifts at more than one business in both quarters. We add a * when the sample is smaller.
