Tell us what got you into Upshift?
In the Summer of 2022, I was looking for a part time job that allowed me to work flexibly around my full time job. I had several friends who were working on Upshift and they told me about how much fun they were having. I decided to sign up and have worked more than 1,000 hours since then.
What do you do outside of work?
I have 3 cats so I love spending time with them. I also love to crochet and hike. There are a lot of really cool parks around Cincinnati and I enjoy exploring them when the weather is nice. I love discovering a new park or hiking trail that I’ve never been to.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
I recommend looking through the available shifts to find the ones that best fit your skills. I had hospitality experience so I looked for shifts that fit the skill I had developed from my previous positions. Once you find places you like to work, you can focus on applying to them.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
I’ve worked a variety of positions in both the hospitality and light industrial sectors from Order Assembly to Dishwasher to Banquet Server. My favorite shifts are working as a banquet server at Elegant Fare Catering. The make me feel like a valued part of the team during all my shifts there.
