Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I heard about Upshift from some friends who had signed up and started working shifts. They explained that I could control when and where I worked. The flexibility really appealed to me so I decided to give it a shot. I onboarded in May, 2023 and have really enjoyed my time on the platform.
What do you do outside of work?
I have a bunch of hobbies that I enjoy outside of work. I like to fly planes, hike, snowboard and workout. Phoenix is a really cool city because you can be on a mountain snowboarding in the morning and eating outside in shorts and a t-shirt at night. The climate was the main reason I moved from Chicago so I try to be outside as much as possible.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
The guests at each event and venue deserve the best possible experience. I always try to imagine the kind of service and experience I would want if I was attending. You should always try to achieve this by putting forth your best effort.
What has your experience been like on Upshift?
I’ve worked a variety of different positions since joining Upshift from banquet server to cook to busser. However, my favorite position to work is as a quick service attendant at Great Wolf Lodge Arizona. It’s extremely rewarding to be part of the memorable experience of a family visiting the lodge.
