Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I signed up in the Spring, 2022 after hearing about it from some friends. I liked the idea of it being flexible which was really important to me at the time. I had started a part time job and was looking for something to complement it which didn’t tie me into a set schedule every week. Upshift allowed me to pick up shifts around my part time job and the time I needed to spend with my family.
What do you do outside of work?
I have a lot of family near me so I spend most of my free time with them. You can usually find me helping out my father and brother with different things that they need. I also take care of my niece so we do a bunch of different activities together. I’m not a huge tv watcher but I do like to read. I mostly read a variety of different psychology books.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
The most important thing is picking up your first shift and getting that under your belt. It may seem intimidating if you haven’t done this before but you’ll really enjoy it once you start. I also like to check the app frequently to see what new shifts were posted so that I can make sure to apply if something really appeals to me.
Would you recommend Upshift to your friends and family?
Most of the shifts I’ve worked have been at Great Wolf Lodge Arizona as a Service Attendant. I’ve really enjoyed working there because there are a few different areas you can work in and a variety of different tasks that you might be assigned. This keeps things fresh as you aren’t always doing the same thing over and over again. Each of the areas are really fun to work in. If there are tasks that you have questions about, the staff are always available to answer questions and ready to hop in to help you out.
