Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I heard about Upshift from one of my friends who had already signed up. I was looking for a part time job that offered a lot of flexibility. The flexibility was really important for me at that point in my life. I decided to onboard in October, 2022 and have been working shifts ever since.
What do you do outside of work?
Two of my favorite hobbies are shooting pool and bowling. My favorite place to go is Madison Bowl which is a very cool old school bowling alley in the Cincinnati area. I love to travel in my free time and I try to plan a few trips a year. I actually just went to Las Vegas with a few of my friends which is always a great time.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
There are a variety of options to choose from on the platform. I recommend applying for different types of shifts when you first join so that you can figure out what you like. Once you find your favorite shifts, you can focus on picking those up.
Would you recommend Upshift to your friends and family?
I’ve really enjoyed all the locations I’ve worked at so far but the shifts at Crothall @ UC Health are my favorite. I picked up my first Housekeeping shift there in November and have been going back ever since. The staff there have always been friendly and welcoming ever since my first shift. They also let me adjust my schedule each week between morning and afternoon shifts depending on what works best for me.
