Tell us what got you into Upshift?
I was looking for a part time job at the end of 2022 but wasn’t able to find something that had the flexibility I needed. I had several friends and family members who kept recommending Upshift. I onboarded in January 2023 and have been picking up shifts through the platform ever since. Now, I’m recommending to all my family and friends who haven’t signed up yet.
What do you do outside of work?
I like to meditate, do hot yoga and watch movies. I’ve been meditating and doing yoga for many years and it’s a big part of my life. I haven’t been out to the movies in a couple months because I’ve been so busy with work but so I’ve just been watching movies at home. My two favorite movies of all time have to be the Sound of Music and Braveheart.

Do you have any advice for new Upshifters?
I always recommend that you read through the shift details and so that you can be as prepared as possible before your shift. While you’re at the shift, you always want to make sure that you have a positive attitude and always ask other staff or managers if there are things that you can help with. Not only will this help the team you’re working with but it will keep you busy during the shift which makes the time go by much quicker. There are usually other Upshifters working the shifts with you so you’ll have the opportunity to ask them questions if you’re new to the app or a particular shift.
Would you recommend Upshift to your friends and family?
I’ve enjoyed all my shifts but I especially love working at Great Wolf Lodge Arizona. The Great Wolf is one of the best resorts in the region for families. I’ve been working as a quick service attendant at one of the several dining concepts at the resort. One of the best things about the shift there is that there are a few different locations you can work at which allows you to mix and match your shifts to keep things fresh. I also love being part of a team that provides a great experience to all the families who are on vacation.
